Weird Cargo

One of the odder pieces of cargo to come through the Port of Long Beach -- a giant mechanical gorilla prop used in the 1976 production of "King Kong."

1950s -- A submarine for oceanographic exploration is delivered at the Port.

1958 -- Old Los Angeles street cars are exported.

1978 -- A submersible is loaded aboard a vessel.
